To promote MINI Connected, which tethers MINI's dashboard to applications such as Spotify, GoPro, Pandora, etc, MINI launched a huge VR Campaign with short films that use these features. The campaign used Google Cardboard to deliver a full VR experience, one that allows the user to explore MINI Connected with the most real-life experience. Not only did The New York Times host the two MINI films on their site, but MINI, GE, and Google packaged the Sunday paper, with Google Cardboard devices, and MINI advertising. 1 Million copies were produced. The campaign was a huge success and the largest single distribution of Google Cardboard through advertising.
